About Us

I moved to Perth from Christchurch, New Zealand in 2013 and fell in love with this beautiful country and met my West Australian wife, Janine.

Janine and I had both done a lot of camping with our families as kids and have carried that on with our own children, camping in Western Australia, New Zealand and even Europe.

The beautiful weather in WA meant that we could camp at almost any time of the year and get out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

We started out with a tent and moved up to caravans and camper trailers which has let us get off the beaten track and see some amazing sights.

The convenience of caravans and camper trailers has also let us get away for some lovely and relaxing weekend trips closer to home.

We have had so many wonderful camping adventures with family and friends and created so many amazing memories that we wanted to be able to share that. That passion has led us to start up our own small rental business, Open Road Campers.

Being able to help others to get out on the Open Road gives us so much joy and we really love seeing the smiling faces and hearing the stories of our customers' trips when they return.

Renting a safe, reliable and comfortable vehicle to our customers is our priority and we are committed to excellent customer service and quality equipment.
